30 Day Challenges
I just finished reading “Challenge Yourself, I Dare You: A Better You in 30 Days”! I don’t know the author personally. Royalties will not being paid to promote it here, or anywhere else. I read the book in 2 hours. More than enough time to decide right away, I was going to apply the concepts in my own personal life. Usually, if I am not bored with a book half way through the first chapter, I will finish it. This one had me hooked. Every line and sinker.
The author’s father was very disappointed with terrible school-leaving results. It was the catapult to changing his life. He decided to push himself to grow, stretch beyond his limitations, and become someone his father would be proud of . Through a series of 30 challenges, he did just that. One challenge after another. The rest, as they say is history.
Needless to say, I was hooked on the idea! Why in heaven’s name didn’t I think about this before? Better yet, what was I waiting for?! Like magic, all the things I wanted to do, and change about myself, suddenly flooded my memory. They were still there, but I just kept making excuses. Excuses are easier and more convenient. Thirty days. To change a bad habit. Grow. Learn a skill. Read a book. Take a class. The possibilities are endless.
Yes, I do have a vision board. My first task is to make a new one, as I have already accomplished many of the things I envisioned years ago. But I want to take this a step further. And I will. I hope if you happen upon this page, you can take what’s good, and make it better for you. I will share the 30 day challenges, my experiences, and outcomes. There is a great chance I won’t do one every month to start. See where it goes.
I am on my way to creating my best life. And I hope you do too.
